I am frequently asked where I get my organizing supplies from, so I thought I would share 10 pantry essentials you need from The Container Store. Although I recommend and purchase products from many places (IKEA, Amazon, Home Goods, TJ Maxx, and Ross), one of my favorites is The Container Store.
The Container Store has EVERYTHING you can imagine if you’re looking to organize your home. This store is an organizer’s dream, and I can spend hours just browsing through the store. I’ve learned over the years not to enter this store without a list, or I end up purchasing a lot of unnecessary items.
Everything in the store is arranged according to the type of organizing you will be doing: drawers, bins, closets, kitchen, etc. There are even quite a few areas inside the store dedicated to knick-knacks. I suggest staying away from those sections because they are dangerous. You’ll find so many things there you never knew you needed! 😉
I purchase the following items from The Container Store for almost every pantry I organize. The products are durable and timeless, so there is no need to replace the items in the near future.
The Container Store Pantry Organization Bins
These water hyacinth bins from The Container Store are a staple in a pantry. They come in many sizes and are very affordable. The prices range from $9.99-$19.99, and I can’t find the same quality at a lower price anywhere.
These bins are very sturdy and look amazing in any pantry. I use them to hold snacks, drinks, and paper goods. The height is perfect because depending on what you store in them, you don’t have to slide them forward to reach your items.
Man, oh, man. These black bins from The Container Store will take your pantry to another level! Whenever I use these Tosca bins in a pantry, it gives the pantry an elegant and sophisticated feel.
Not only are these bins beautiful, but they are also very durable and functional. I usually use them to store citrus fruits, onions, or potatoes.
These bins come in black and white and two sizes. The white is pretty also, but I prefer to use the black bins.
Here’s another beauty to add to your pantry. These white baskets add a fresh and clean look, and when you add the bamboo lid (sold separately), it goes perfectly with the water hyacinth bins I mentioned above.
These Container Store bins are very durable and are available in the three sizes you see here. The lid comes in bamboo and white. They are very affordable, can be stacked, and will look great in multiple areas of your home.
Clear Pantry Storage Containers
It’s a good idea to mix up the bins in your pantry so it doesn’t look boring, and these clear bins do the trick!
They are great for storing chips, granola bars, seasoning packs, and individual snack items.
I like using clear bins to store items with bright, colorful packaging to wake the pantry up from all of the solid bins we added in there.
Clear bins also allow the kids to see and help themselves to their own snacks without having to rummage through every bin looking for them!
What I love most about this 4-piece set is that it is plastic but looks like glass.
This can be another option for clear containers to use in your pantry. Another bonus is that they stack so you can save space in your pantry.
The bamboo lids are gorgeous and add to the aesthetics when paired with the water hyacinth bins.
You can easily store snacks, seasonings packets, nuts, and tea bags in these containers.
These storage containers do a great job of keeping your food fresh. They have an airtight seal, and because their lids are white, they work with any style.
When organizing clients, I suggest that they decant their most used items to see when they are running low and replenish them.
I especially like that the price of these containers is less than the ultra-popular OXO POP containers. This 9-piece set is only $59, while the 10-piece OXO POP set is $105.
The Container Store Pantry Storage Solutions
This shelf organizer is a must if you choose to store your plastic wrap and bags in your pantry. It fits every shelf I have placed it on, and it holds 8-9 items.
The slim size saves space because it uses the vertical space in the pantry.
For every walk-in pantry I organize, a Lazy Susan goes in each corner. These work great when storing oils, vinegar, sauces, spices, boxes of baking soda, cornstarch, cleaning products, and anything else you can think of!
A Lazy Susan makes it so much easier to access those items that sometimes get lost and forgotten in the back of the pantry.
They come in two sizes so you can get the perfect fit.
If you don’t have an excessive amount of cans to store in your pantry, this adjustable 3-tiered shelf will work perfectly in your pantry.
I love that the shelves are nice and deep to accommodate cans and expands to hold even more. You can also organize spices on this shelf organizer.
The organizer moves back far enough in your pantry for you to use your pantry shelf as a fourth tier.
This Over-the-Door Organizer is a perfect solution if you have a small pantry or run out of room when organizing.
It hangs on the door and does not need to be installed. Door anchors are available if you wish to install the organizer on your door, but it’s unnecessary.
Six drawers are included and are customizable, so you can place them wherever you need them. The baskets can also be easily removed and replaced for your convenience.
There You Have It!
These are the top 10 items I use from The Container Store when organizing a client’s pantry. They are all durable, affordable, and timeless. Once your pantry is decluttered and organized, you will be able to find what you need when you need it.
An organized pantry eliminates the need for you to make a last-minute run to the store to purchase something you already have. Now you’ll know exactly what’s in your pantry and be able to use everything before they expire.
