Here are 10 clever ways to declutter your entire home. These are tips I have used in the past and wanted to share them with you!
How to Declutter Your Entire Home Without Feeling Overwhelmed
Clever Decluttering Tips
- Hang your scarves by sliding them through shower-curtain rings and attaching the rings to a hanger in your closet. These shower-curtain rings are perfect because you hang them upside down on your hanger and the scarf slides over the rollers. This will keep them wrinkle-free and allow you to see each one. The rings are available in fun colors as well!
- After folding your shirts, place them vertically in the drawer. You’ll be able to store more this way, and you’ll be able to see each one.
- To store kitchen wrap and storage bags, purchase a magazine holder and place the plastic wrap, foil, and storage bags inside vertically. The magazine holder will keep everything together and let you know when you need to buy more.
- Keep sheet sets together by folding the sheets and placing them inside the pillowcase. Now you can grab the set and go!
- Stack bracelets and bangles on a paper-towel holder. Functional and pretty!

5 More Decluttering Tips!
- When bringing groceries home, place a laundry basket in the trunk. It will keep the bags from tumbling over, and if you’re strong enough, you can carry the basket in to unload the groceries.
- To store bobby pins, use an empty Tic-Tac case to keep them together.
- For keeping essentials together, hang an over-the-door pocket organizer on the inside of your coat closet door. Now you can grab umbrellas, dog leashes, flashlights, gloves, scarves, and anything else you may need before heading out the door. This particular one is great because the pockets are mesh, which will allow the items to dry and air out properly.
- To corral all the plastic bags that seem to take over the house, use an empty tissue box under the sink to keep them together.
- Use a dry-erase marker and write down the items on the washer that should not go into the dryer. Just wipe the writing away with a paper towel when you’re done. (Test on a small area first to make sure it doesn’t stain.)
