Hey all!
Just wanted to share a project I completed for my daughter’s second grade teacher for teacher appreciation week. I got the inspiration from Pinterest, of course! It was fairly inexpensive and a lot of fun to make (with my 7 year-old daughter).
It was a big hit with the kids-when I visited the classroom the following week it was still intact! My daughter said that no one wanted to use any of the supplies because they didn’t want to mess it up. So now it sits as a centerpiece on the back table.
Here are the instructions to make this School Supply Cake. I changed a few things to make it our own, but it follows the same basic steps.
Let me know what you think!  Also let me know if you have any cool ideas for end-of-the-year teacher appreciation gifts. 🙂
Also, to all the teachers out there: I GREATLY appreciate the time and energy you invest in our children every day and I hope you had a wonderful week! 🙂
I think that is brilliant!
Thank you! We had a lot of fun making it. 🙂
This is such a good idea, I bet it makes a change from chocolate/wine, plus it’s actually useful! I really like the different coloured notebooks you’ve added, they’re a nice touch.
Thanks! The teacher and class really enjoyed it. I try to think of unique gift ideas since teachers receive so many throughout the year. Thanks so much for your comment. 🙂
This may be the best teacher gift ever!! So thoughtful and creative!
Thank you! Once I saw it on Pinterest I knew I had to make it. 🙂
Super cool!
Adorable! You’re such a good mom.
Thanks! We had a lot of fun putting it together. 🙂
Awesome!
Aww thanks! My daughter was really proud of it!
I love this! I’m sure the teacher was super encouraged by your time and effort to put this together!
Thanks! They loved it. Now I just wish they’d use it! Maybe she’s waiting until after the school year ends…
Gorgeous Leigh!
Thank you! 🙂
