5 Entertainment Freebies

  1. Text Redbox to 727272 and receive a free movie code each month.
  2. Download the Pandora app on your smartphones and tablets to enjoy free music. You can also visit Pandora.com and listen to free music on your computer.  Just enter your favorite artists and Pandora will create a playlist just for you.
  3. There are tons of ways to get your hands on free books. One way is to visit your local library, and another is to download e-books from the following sites: Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and Project Gutenberg. Take your pick!
  4. Learn a new language for free if your library is connected to the Mango service. See if Mango Languages is available at your library and begin learning a new language today!
  5. Bank of America and Merrill Lynch customers with debit or credit cards can gain free access to 150 museums on the first weekend of each month.

Who said, “Nothing in life is free”? 😉

If you have any other free entertainment options to add, please include them in the comments below.

Enjoy! 🙂

    1. Hi Juli, Thanks for letting me know about Duolingo. I’ll have to check it out. So cool that you and your child are learning a new language. I’m still working on Spanish. Thanks for stopping by!:) ~Leigh

  1. I get most of my reading from the library. I’m in New York and the NYPL is one of my most treasured free resources in the city because I can go online and request what I want and pick it up at my local library.
I’ve been spending a lot of time lately browsing YouTube videos so yeah, there’s some great material there. But I didn’t know about all those free museum passes. Thanks so much for sharing.

      1. Hi Jan, In your text message, type 727272 as the phone number, and type Redbox as the message. Once you hit send, you’ll receive a welcome message from Redbox. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for stopping by! 🙂 ~Leigh

  2. You can watch free Movies on Primewire.ag. You never know where the movies come from so some people have an issue with it, but we have watched movies while they are still in the theaters on there and saved a bundle! You can also check out Hulu (the free version) and even YouTube has full movies sometimes. 🙂

    1. There are so many discounts floating around out there, it’s hard to know them all or even keep up with them. I’ve used this one a few times and it’s so worth it. Glad to help! 🙂

  3. Love my library! I’m into two graphic novels that would cost me a pretty penny if I kept up with them regularly. Instead I can borrow them for a week from the library and enjoy! Plus it’s a great way to teach myself new things, like Microsoft Access or languages (will also have to check out the Mango Languages!)

    1. I always forget about the free DVDs and magazines at the library. Thanks for the reminder! Also, would love to hear more about how you get free cable…we are currently paying $200/month! Hence the reason I’m always trying to save money! 🙂

        1. Ahhh…gotcha. That’s a great way to get out of paying these ridiculous prices. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to find a way out of this situation because of my husband’s love of sports! It’s his only indulgence so I guess I’ll let him keep it. 😉
